Allan, I think we're seeing a ramp of the Nikkei for the mark to market, and although it is a powerful rally to date, the underlying fundamentals may not be strong enough to sustain it past mid-April.

That said, I think I answered my own Dow question <G>. I do not believe the Dow can do a major re-trace alone without the other indices. If the Nasdaq is going up towards a possible top in April, the SPX and NYSE will have to be along for the ride, and that means the Dow can't sit still either.

Wednesday before options expiration is usually quite volatile, so if we're up early tomorrow I'll suspect we're headed for more down. If the opposite is true, I'm closing my puts knowing I'm being set up for a rise later on.
