Let me know your opinion on the choice of processors from my post:

1.67 GHz Athlon XP-2000+
1.7 MHz Willamette
2 GHz Willamette
2 GHz Northwood?

Now suppose you are given a choice to assign one number to judge the performance of these different chips. What number would you give to the Athlon, in context of marketplace dominated by varieties of P4.

Remember your budget is 1 number, like say horsepower, which is a mopular performance measure in car engines.
