Just don't mention "It's A Small World After All" (can't think of how to work "thong" in there)- it's one of the all time Songs from Hell.

purge my brain of the syrupy strains of "Thong Thung Blue"

Joining our voices in a thingalong featuring Bobby Goldsboro's greatest hits might have the desired effect, or at least change the flavor of the syrup?

This morning I have "I Dream Of Rambi With The Light Brown Hair" floating about in my noggin after running into our leader in a dream last night. She was with her family and a tall blonde young lady at an airport's Baggage Claim area. When she didn't recognize me, I considered introducing myself but decided against it. Strange what the subconscious can come up with.
