That's exactly what I believe. The market won't be significantly higher than it is in 5-10 years. And there is a great chance that it will be significantly lower.

However, this does not mean that you cannot make money during that period of time. There will be selective issues that will be huge winners, and timing can also be of greater importance. Actually, I am also trading in and out of CSCO and ORCL recently. But by no means they are my long term investment. I am just playing greater fool theory right now.

I strongly believe that the US economy is ok, and will continue to be in decent shape, if not spectacular. Will have lots of mini recessions in the next decade. However, the stock market is a huge bubble that is waiting to get busted.
