Well, shoot, I should hope so, they spent enough on investigating his sex life and sex lies and sex acts (in detail) to come up with something. How many millions of taxpayer dollars did it cost us again to learn about the cigar and the anal play and his coming on her dress? Oh, it was worth every penny to be able to spread those stories over the world!

It's a shame the world was laughing so much at us, but hey, at least they proved he lied when he said he didn't have sexual relations with that woman.

Of course decisions are made every day, thousands of them, that although there has been a violation of the law, it's not worth prosecuting. And of course if it's just about hiding illicit sex, well, how often do they prosecute?

But still, it was worth millions of dollars and the derision of the world to do it in this case, however unusual the investigation and prosecution was.

(BTW, I hear Paula Jones is going to be wrestling Tanya Harding. I'll wouldn't miss it!)

From it:

In response to the report, Clinton attorney David Kendall said "The investigation of President Clinton from 1994 to 2001 was intense, expensive, partisan and long. There's still no Whitewater report, and there's nothing new in this report. It's time to move on."
Quite.

Oh, and 'Independent' Counsel...?
"It's not clear what the purpose of the report is other than to promote Robert Ray's Senate campaign...
and indeed,
Mr. Ray, who has acknowledged a potential run against Democratic Sen. Robert G. Torricelli of New Jersey...
washtimes.com
Sounds pretty independent to me. I'm sure he wouldn't be remotely influenced in investigating a Democrat President... just because he's standing against a Democrat Senator... LOL.

As one of the CLinton spokesmen said:
"The release of the report is a nonevent. This investigation started as a political process and it ends as a political process."
Unless, of course, we're back to investigating and prosecuting everyone to the utmost severity of the law, whatever their 'crime'. Let me know when the Enron investigations start, no pleading the 5th or executive privilege now since an alleged crime may have been committed - and I'm sure we can find a Dem candidate to act as Independent counsel <g>

Let's face it, a multi-billion corruption/fraud/misuse of government is a tad more serious than a BJ and a lie about it.

Proven - that Republicans are massively into sado-masochism, necrophilia and bestiality.

i.e., flogging a dead horse. LOL.
