Well, when AMD cancelled Mustang Intel suddenly realized that without any threat of competition there was no need to continue pursuing this market. ;-)

Wrongo. PIII 900 MHz with 2 MB cache is still commanding up to $3000 per. Also, the 700 MHz, 1 MB and 2 MB are still shipping. Of course, these will be replaced by Foster MP eventually.

Dan, these are just a few of the current product lines that feature large cache Xeons. There are many more. It's time for you to stop the lies, and face reality. Intel makes a bundle on high ASP large cache Xeons, and AMD has yet to release any product close to competing in this market.
