Cax,

re: head to head and belly to belly

<< GPRS vs. 1X, what a joke that competition is, GPRS hasn't even shown up to the game. Reminds me of what Irwin said two years ago, "We will go head to head with GPRS anytime anywhere". >>

Yeah. There sure are a lot of 1xRTT new carrier wins in the technology selection column since Irwin said that two years ago.

Is their some reason that CDMA market share is less today than when he spoketh that 2 years ago?

<< I hope GPRS shows up somewhere so we get a chance to stomp it. >>

Let me know when data enabled 1xRTT shows up on our shores will ya.

I need a new Verizon phone that will synch to XP desktops and laptops to replace this now worthless KYO 6035 POS.

Glad to see you are the Nokia thread TA Guru. We needed one.

Seems 1X has more than an difficulty not to find the opportunity to compete than to try to find it.

Seems that has been the cellular, base stations and handsets, RF, filters and battery-case
for more than a century.

Ilmarinen

It is painful to have to receive and transmit at the same time, without those impossible filters,
before there is enough base stations.

I am saddened to hear the public announcements that many US network grids were not designed for
indoor coverage, all the worse by the habit of using steel constructions, especially for commersial
buildings.

Maybe something like the risk of dropping satellites, both for outhouses and outdoor variations,
not even sharing a single mast or any SIM cards allowed.
