I expect Siebel's growth to be stronger in the first half of this decade than in the second half. Conversely, I expect Qualcomm's growth to be stronger in the second half of the decade than in the first half. I could be wrong. Considering that you are contemplating a purchase of LEAPS in only one of them, it's probably best that you go with the company that you think will offer the most growth during the life of the contract.

wouldn't that depend on how widespread such views (about when the growth will come) are, and hence the degree to which they might already be priced into the two stocks?
