No.

<The Africans first made their mark on the Olympic stage in the 1960s starting with the legendary marathon runner Abebe Bikila.

The then unknown Ethiopian won gold in Rome in 1960 and did it barefoot. He became the first person to successfully defend the marathon title in Tokyo four years later but this time wore shoes

It's true that marketing is essential. Things don't sell themselves and if they do, they don't do it to maximum value. But having had quite a bit to do with trade shows, I am doubtful of the bang for the buck. They are good for ego and show, but not for getting customers to sign up. I'd much rather spend an hour talking to a customer I have hunted down than a random prospect who shows up at a trade show.

Globalstar spent a fortune on the Telecom99 show and it was a complete waste of money. Well, probably not complete, but not far off it. That money would have been better spent on selling directly to potential customers.

Maybe a working GSM1x multimode, RadioOne, gpsOne, BREW, phone/cyberspace cerfing display would help people understand just what is possible in the 3G world from QUALCOMM.

Eric L: Chuckle. Spelling was never my best suit.

What continues to amaze me is how limited and provincial reporting is.

Guess this explains it:<<<<<<...

<< we will be treated to "reporting" >>

WE will get what WE pay for. No more and possibly less.

Now if you think that I think that Qualcomm is one of the poorest marketing companies in the S&P 500 then you know me pretty darned well.

If Qualcomm wants to run the marathon they need to budget for decent sneakers.>>>>>>

Best.
