If you add Baltimore to the search parameters, you find a lot of places in Baltimore that specialize in New York cheesecake. Yes, that was my problem. Also a bunch of hits on the Cheesecake Factory chain restaurant at the Baltimore harbor. Grrr. When I first came here thirty years ago, there was a wonderful coffee shop at the main intersection in old town Alexandria that made that style cheesecake. I didn't realize at the time how special it was. The place has been gone for a good twenty years. There's a Banana Republic there now. Karen
