The difference is that the Palestinians are aiming at Israel citizens and then hiding behind Palestinian civilians. Also the Palestinians "civilans" that are killed are not all people who are non-combatants. Even if you are not part of any organized military, police, or terrorist unit, if you attack soldiers with rocks or with guns you are not exactly innocent.

Its possible if you have something more specific and some evidence to support the specific aligation that I might from an opinion that is closer to the one you have presented here. That is why I asked - "What specific methods of targeting which civilians?"

Yes, it's lopsided. I haven't seen the latest figures, but at one point they ran something like 800- Palestinians, 250 Israelis. However, some people will say it's not as lopsided as it looks, because most of the Israelis were killed just going about their daily lives by suicide bombers, whereas many of the Palestinians who were killed were either known (terrorists/freedom fighters, pick your choice) and others were killed while shooting at Israelis, throwing rocks, or otherwise in active revolt. Not all, of course -- but if you consider such issues as those active in conflict and those just going about their daily lives and getting killed, the numbers may well be a lot evener.

Though even one death of an innocent, uninvolved person who is killed simply because they happen to be living their lives in the wrong place at the wrong time is one too many.
