It was in a piece of Piper Jaffray research regarding conversations with resellers at the RSA Conference. They indicated that initial response (S-Box was released in January) was weak but that the S-Box seems like an obvious positive in the long-term. Exact quote: [snip] Reseller checks this week have indicated less-than-steller initial reactions to the S-Box. A few Check Point resellers indicated that if an enterprise was already running Check Point in its business then it would make sense to go with an S-Box for distributed security needs. [snip] One Check Point reseller went as far as to say "hardware is generally going to be the way to go for most SMEs, I can't think of any reason to go with a software solution."
