Do you share Cohen's opinion that Pickering is an awful judge?

I'd like to see someone who does think so make a good argument for the idea.

The article isn't very specific. I talks about the reduced sentence in the cross burning case but doesn't give any reason to think that this is either a good or a bad thing (it seems to assume it is a bad thing but it doesn't provide good reasons for this assumption, if the argument was made I might agree with it but it wasn't even really attempted). It does mention that he was overruled 15 times, but again there is no details. And it barely mentions something about his record in voting rights and employment discrimination cases, without actually describing how and why his record on these issues is so bad.
