Saturation of Large Enterprises- they may have deployed VPN but then they will have to upgrade it to Next Generation and they have not been doing that because of bad economy and because the last service packs for Next Generation appeared only in December and January. Saying that Large Enterprises are not going to upgrade is like saying that nobody will buy a new computer because they have bought one years ago.
Growth is always cyclical and we just have to wait until the cycle turns up.
As for S-boxes, Goldman research says they were accepted with enthusiasm and exceeded company's own expectations.
And then of course the huge installed base with Large Enterprises and Opsec alliance will be a huge competitive advantage compared to smaller rivals like Netscreen and SonicWall once Check Point have appropriate Small and Medium Enterprise products in the market and they have only done it in January.
You sited the research piece saying a significant consideration in deploying an S-box is when the company already has Check Point products installed. Classical Gorilla Game.
