Kb, we have debated the VIX from time to time.

I am not certain that the VIX is a useful indicator. Look at early 2000, when the VIX hovered in the 20 to 25 range for months:

In the second half of 1999, the VIX hovered around 22.5 --

In any case, I appreciate the current downtrend. I have many calls (some covered, many naked) expiring this Friday. Now I may not have to buy back as many since they will expire worthless (e.g., PNRA March 55's, TECD March 50's and maybe the TECD March 45's). I also have a naked call position in QQQ March 35's, but those probably will need to be rolled prior to expiry.
