UF, Doesn't mean I can't be pleasant when thanking someone for entering me in the pool ;^> . I've been informed my post made it into a segment on bubblevision.tv, though I haven't seen it yet.

If a disaster of that magnitude is coming, then we all best start preparing right now (more practical ways - pay down debts, work harder at job, love your family and friends more than usual,...) I don't own any precious metals, am actually short a gold stock right now (but a bank too!), and have no survival gear of any sort.

Cisco issued so many shares in the bull run making acquisitions that toward the end, added no real earnings or value of any kind, that it will be hard in the near to medium term to generate enough earnings in relation to the O/S number. I'm not sure I would tie that valuation to a depression, but no doubt some debt will have been dusted. There will be a significant price to pay to make the debt go away, both in time and equity valuations.

The fundamental question is "Do the telecoms have any earnings power when their end markets appear to be headed into a deflationary vortex?"

To each to answer for themselves...

IMHO. Rob

BTW I don't own a gun either - I rely on the kindness of strangers -g/-ng
