Hi rob, ask Intel that same question. They've managed to build an extremely strong franchise in the face of constant deflationary cycles. In tech circles it's call eating your young or cannibalization. You innovate and put a product out there. Then you innovate again, reduce the price of the previous product and cannibalize it's sales with your latest product. The telecom companies haven't figured out how to survive in this type of environment yet, but they will. Either that or they will go bankrupt and another species of telecom, with more tech business savvy will replace them.
