You can configure you PC to start up with NUM LOCK already on Things you may not know about NUMLOCK: Holding down NUM LOCK for 5 seconds will enable TOGGLE KEYS which will make your computer beep whenever you press CAP LOCK, NUM LOCK, or SCROLL LOCK NUM LOCK+ASTERISK on numeric keypad (*) Display all subfolders under the selected folder. NUM LOCK+PLUS SIGN on numeric keypad (+) Display the contents of the selected folder. NUM LOCK+MINUS SIGN on numeric keypad (-) Collapse the selected folder

Well, apparently I just leave the NumLock key on all the time anyway. So for all I know there IS an Alpha Lock key somewhere on this ridiculously complex keyboard that has buttons I've never pushed for fear of what they might do- Like here's one with a little rocket on it. will my keyboard have liftoff? Here's one with a little group of faceless aliens. What on earth could that be. Maybe they are Bodysnatchers, and are just waiting for me to press the key so they can take over my mind. And here's a lightbulb. Now that might be worth trying. Will it offer creative ideas when I have writer's block? A shopping cart... hmm -- If I press the Little Aliens key at the same time as the Rocket key, will I send them back to Mars? Or better yet, if I match them with the Shopping Cart key, will they go get the groceries for me? Does everyone else have weird things like this on their keyboards or am I in a Twilight Zone episode?
