Some people on this board have defended Ken Lay and Enron's business practices. In the case of Lay, they point out that he can't be called a "crook" because he has not been convicted of anything. (I would also point out that if that were the litmus test, Nixon also was not a crook.) In the case of Enron's business practices, they say it's just the free market turning in an unwanted direction. Tell that to the rank and file who had their 401(k) plans frozen while GWB pal Kenny Boy and his mischief makers were cashing out tens of millions of dollars so they could build bigger mansions in Aspen.

It's time we started sentencing corporate crooks to real time in real prisons. Put 'em in the "armed robbery wing" of the state penitentiary with the rest of the muggers. That's where they belong.
