it is very possible but how long the delay would be? It seems that amd put a lot of "if market" on their roadmap so I guess it would also depend on market as well.

You are probably right. If you look at AMD's roadmap, the 90nm mobile Clawhammer follows the 130nm mobile Clawhammer by only one quarter. I doubt if AMD would introduce a processor one quarter, just to supercede it the next quarter. Then again, I don't really expect to be to 90nm until Q2 2004, so if they anticipate the same, they just might introduce a 130nm mobile Clawhammer. And, of course, we should keep in mind that K7 was introduced in August 1999 and superceded by K75 at the end of November 1999. But, AMD has a lot more on their plate now than they did in 1999.

Integrating the memory controller should save a couple of watts. You only have to drive lines from the CPU to the RAM, instead of driving lines from the CPU to the chipset and then from the chipset to the RAM.

I'm guessing clock will increase less than many would imagine.

Processing power per watt is becoming more important( as opposed to raw processing power ).

And I expect that trend to continue.

Considering that AMD is only predicting mobile Hammer for the 90nm node, I doubt if anybody will flame you for your prediction...

What are you trying to say here? AMD is projecting mobile Hammers and 90nm for H2 2003...
