Hi X... You are very welcome... It sounds like you are doing a fabulous job with the students. I was watching some of President's conference on Americorp the other day and hearing some of the testimony of the volunteers (especially the teenagers) is sparking a fire WRT to tutoring and mentoring kids who have been passed on without the ability to read. I'm not sure how well I would do, but since I taught my own children to read well before they started school, it might be worth giving it a shot. Of course if more teachers showed the creativity and enthusiasm you have maybe we wouldn't be quite where we are today...but mostly so many of these kids just need some one on one attention...teachers need a lot of help in that regard... BTW....I would very much like to see your poem that is to be published, so pm if you wish.
