Gottfried,

This is what the site says about Hammer (Altavista transaltion):
At the end of this year should appear first Hammer at the same time in version server and desktop.
clubic.com

I wonder if this is change of plan or just their interpretation. Based on AMD roadmap, the server versions (Clawhammer MP and Sledgehammer) are scheduled for 1H 2003.

On SFF version, it is not clear if the version selling in Asia is Tbred or Palomino. Andreas posted some links recently, and from those links it seemed that it was still a Palomino version. I can't wait for desktop version with PowerNow enabled.

Gottfried- A more refined translation.

Instead of "This processor need not HSF." I would say "This low wattage processor dissipates little heat and can even be used without a cooling system."

Now this is obviously an error. I am quite sure this chip needs a heat sink, thus a cooling system, it just doesn't necessarily need a fan. A passively cooled Athlon would be great news. Actually, if this thing dissipates 15W (a number we have seen elsewhere), it needs a fan or something exotic. But 15W is still great news.

FWIW, I lived and worked in France for 4 years.
