I don't go to the Bush thread, but didn't many many people admonish him? Do you want SI admonishing people all the time about political opinions (for that is what that offensive opinion is). If you do, they will need to take stands on all offensive positions, to be fair- or perhaps you don't care if they are fair. How should they go about doing this? Can you see how difficult this would be for them when they manage threads that discuss virtually everything? I think everyone who attacks someone else personally, using vulgar words, should be punished. It would be lovely to see that sort of thing just go away and it would not hinder the free expression of ideas a bit. So yes, I am glad JLA got suspended. I'd like to see loads more people suspended. I'd like to see people suspended until they can to talk to each other without acting like continuation school drop outs. It is fine to disagree, it is fine to disagree vehemently, but I am really sick of the sheer amount of bad behavior. Some people post nothing but vulgarity coupled with attacks, or vulgarity coupled with giggles about their attacks.
