I am against the death penalty, as you know, but I am not sure death wouldn't be more compassionate in this case. If this woman does regain her senses, she will live with unimaginable pain for the next 40 years. Such a sad case. If only someone had intervened. This woman tried to kill herself several times. It is insane that she was left in charge of that many children after suicide attempts. It is insane!

She's sick. Her motive was illogical and probably can't be duplicated. Her death would serve no purpose.
