dm - you're right about the attitude of many Arabs - or at least about the rhetoric. I don't think one needs a ticket to the area to know that - but then don't you think that the circumstances of the creation of the State of Israel have something to do with that. As someone pointed out here too many of the historical claims of the Jews, territorial claims are being challenged by recent finds, including the view that the Exodus never happened, that Moses was a mythical figure. Mind you, along the same lines the New Testament can be challenged and that was a far more recent piece of writing. The Son of God, immaculate conception, resurrection, all concepts introduced by Paul and successive gospels, Mark, Matthew, Luke and John, in that order and probably never claimed by Jesus himself. the 6 day war was started, as you say, by the Arabs - but by Arabs safely on the other side of the border. The Palestinians had no choice in the matter and their homes were confiscated by - let us not mince matters - by an occupying force.
