So what you are saying, is that for most of the period where Britain was the dominant world power, she was a free trading nation? Are also you saying that it was better for British labor in the 19th century to be employed in agriculture than in the manufacturing?

Wouldn't it be more correct to say that the decline of Britain was a result of the decline of British colonial system, and the desire of people to be ruled from "their own people" rather than governors appointed from London?
