If what you say were true, then you'd have to do it now, because there are enough people carrying at this very moment that there should be wild west shoot outs every day. Go take a look at the guy in front of you at the supermarket. Does he or doesn't he? You don't know. But he's not walking around like clint eastwood is he? No, the anti gunners raise the bogieman issues, the monster under the bed, the demon in the closet, boo! the gun toting bogie man is going to get ya, honey, take the women and children off the streets! It's simply not true. The majority of all gun owners are extremely lawabiding, upright citizens. The drug killings IMO are a result of their being illegal. Illegality raises the prices, and makes drugs very profitable. Cocaine costs about 500 to make, it sells for about 2000 a K in Colombia if you have the right connections, and would sell for about 3 dollars a pure gram if it were legal in the states. There's no money in that. then there would be no criminals doing it. Then there would be no murders committed over it. People who committed crimes while under the influence of drugs would and should be punished. Using drugs is no excuse to commit a crime. But and the big but is..if they were legal people wouldn't commit crimes to GET them. they wouldn't commit crimes to SELL them.
