>> The 14th amendment guarantees equal protection under the law <<

i'm well aware of the gay mafia's attempt to use the privileges and immunities clause of the 14th amendment to advance their twisted form of totalitarianism on us all. alan keyes warned us of this tactic back in 1999.

Constitutional immunity from the Constitution?

>> Basically, that means you can't have a state law that discriminates against a specific group of people <<

but homosexuals are not a "group", they are simply individuals who engage in disgusting behavior.

>> For example, job discrimination based on race. <<

now a race is a group of people so it is entirely proper to not allow discrimination based on race. but homos are just deviant individuals who spread disease. they are not a group, because you don't classify a group by individuals who just happen to engage in the same vile behavior.

>> If a state passed a law that said it was legal to refuse to hire someone because they were gay, it would be struck down by the courts on basis of violation of equal protection <<

you say it "would" be struck down. i say that "would" be misinterpreting--or more to the point--hijacking the constitution, so it "should" not be struck down.

>> Now, if other states would just have the guts to pass similar laws, it is clear they would be upheld by our Constitution <<

they would not be upheld by the constitution. they would be upheld by liberal, activist, usurpists in black robes who love to stroke their ego by hijacking our constitution. it appears the only recourse the people have left is to pass an amendment to the constitution saying it's ok to discriminate against homosexuals. it would get my vote.
