Thanks, I'll try. Sent one letter, but I guess it was to the tech support guy who was helping me with my password problem.

El Vanada was the road I lived on with my first house...a magical place 90 seconds from the interstate and a completely isolated little country dirt road with 6 houses, originally summer cabins for folks in SF. Even had a little creek. It is apparently a misspelling of the Spanish "El Venedo", path of the deer. (The closest major street was Alameda de las Pulgas, the Avenue of the Fleas; sheep ranches there once).

Everybody was calling thems elves, who were related to leprechauns via brownies, "The Kid". I was a better gunslinger, so I was TEVK.

The 10 lost tribes...

I have it on good authority that the Native Americans were one. I heard that directly from Frankie Ballou (Cat's father), who "heard it from a congressman of these United States".

There is a tribe in Ethiopia which carries a genetic marker found only in the Cohanim (sp?), one of the 3 divisions within the tribe. These people rarely intermarry, even within the religion; strictly Cohen to Cohen, so the marker is pretty distinguishing. I saw several articles about this in the last few years. Also, the Ark of the Covenant, which Indiana Jones misplaced, is rumored, especially on the History Channel , to be in Ethiopia.

As for the rest, try the Italians, the Blacks, the Irish, the Japanese;
you'll love this one...shortly after 9/11, a friend said she show me an article claiming the Taliban (I'm sure she meant the Afganis in general). (I never did read it)

The pope (look at his yarmulke..skull cap).

I'm still looking for 2, but I strongly suspect the Inuits.
