Yeah, but you didn't concentrate on frequency, you looked primarily at Model ratings. It is quite clear that they can't scale as good as Northwood's clock-speed since the model/frequency ratio is getting larger with every new speed grade. The model rating formula

model rating = clock-speed * 1.5 - 500

is approaching a model / Mhz ratio of 1.5 asymptotical. E.g. the XP1800+ had a model rating that was 17% faster than its clock-speed while the XP2100+ has a 21% gap. For every new speed grap this gap widens by about 1%. A XP3000+ had to be almost 30% faster than a Pentium 4 running at 3 GHz. That's just not realistic. My guess is that AMD will rework their model rating formula when Hammer is released. In the mean-time they will face serious pressure from Intel.
