Lakers,

<< After the first rush of PDA, I start to think what is the best strategy, have a 2 in 1 or keep the phone and your handheld separated. >>

There is no question in my mind that having the 2 combined has significant advantages.

That has been reinforced since I'm back to a KYO 6035 with a separate Palm Vx (because of the XP incompatibility and I'm juggling the 2 constantly.

The combined functionality had me spoiled.

<< still can't decide which one is better, Palm or PocPC. >>

That's a hot debate. There are significant differences (efficiency, battery life, etc.).

One of my worries as a long time Palm user with a fair amount of Palm software is that there is a new Palm OS (5) coming and I've lost track of where it's at. Palm 4 likely to be obsolete PDQ (like the PDQ).

This gets back to the issue of combining phone and PDA functionality. One becomes obsolete and you've essentially obsolesced the other.

<< Still waiting. >>

Me too. With Verizon you get one shot at "contract price" every 11 months.
