I will however dispute the notion that Muslims are, on balance, any more bloodthirsty, ruthless and selfish than Christians throughout the ages.

Ah, yes, moral relativism at its finest. Everybody does it! That must mean we should not condemn it. This mantra seems vaguely familiar and somehow recent.

Chris I will not defend the past of Christianity. It basically rivals the history of the world ruthless and bloodthirsty. However Christianity had a Reformation. The Moslem world has not and that is the difference. I am not a Christian but I have suffered no harm from Christians. I have suffered greatly from Moslems both personally and as part of the collective 9/11 experience. I have been a victim of Moslem racism in a very real and ugly manner. I still treat every individual I meet as an individual but the religion of Islam in in the dark ages.
The bias of the main stream media is very clear. Have you yet heard the main stream religion ask Moslems are you pro-gay ? Do you believe in the women's right to choose ? Are you inclusive ?
By the way I am impressed of your awareness of what is going on in the Sudan. Have a good one
