Any suggestions on how to change the government to one that would be a little more proactive in the area of letting the population look after itself rather than this craddle to grave mentality that is keeping the taxes so high in Canada.

I have a suggestion but my saying it could land me in jail because Canada is not a free country or a democracy.

At the moment, no, there isn't anything you can do. If Wednesday's results for the Alliance leadership gives Stephen Harper the nod, or if it goes to a second ballot, there's hope. If Day wins on the first ballot, then apply for a green card.
