I'd love to see how others would answer.

We went through that exercise once on Beanies. It was amazing how homogenous and moderate the group was. Amazing for a bunch that fights so much.

P.S. I guess Bill is speechless. Or doing his laundry.

An interesting list of questions...I'd love to see how others would answer.

OK.

Are you for or against capital punishment? - Undecided. I went back and forth and then settled on the fence.

Are you for or against legalized abortion? -Against. Except when the life of the mother is in strong danger without It.

What are your views on gun control? - Its good. If you don't control your gun you can't hit your target.

Is your impression of the NRA generally good or generally bad? -
Generally good. I am a member, even though I don't own a gun.

Is your impression of the ACLU generally good or generally bad? -
Generally bad, but I do think they do some work that I would support.

Do you favor condom distribution in schools? - Probably no.

Do you think public school teachers are qualified to teach grammar school children about sex? -
Its not their job to do it. Its not a matter of qualifications.

Do you think doctors are overpaid? - No.

Do businesses create oppression? - No.

What are your views on global warming? - It's probably warmed a bit and thats probably due at least partially to human action, but the certanty of this is low, the liklyhood of disaster from it is low, and it would cost to much to lower CO2 emissions, that we shouldn't do it until the science is more solid, and even then we have to way the costs against the benefits.

Do you support Kyoto? - I've never been to the city, besides it can support itself.
Oh you mean the treaty, then my answer is no.

Is being gay nature or nurture? - Who knows? I've read a theory that the prenatal environment is a big factor, which would that be?

How do you feel about gay marriage? - I would be against extending anything called marriage to gays. I'm undecieded about "domestic partnership" laws.

Should the welfare budget be cut? - Yes.

Should the military budget be cut? - If we could really weed out the waste and fraud we could cut it by that much or almost that much, but it seems like this never happens. If you cut out waste and fraud in government spending it seems to grow back. I don't think we should cut the size or capability of our armed forces.

How do you feel about missile defense? - I think its a good idea, and that we should be persuing it.

Should the budgets of the NEA, public radio and public television be cut? - They probably should be eliminated, but there is worse examples of government spending that I would target first.

Should the AIDS research budget be increased? - Probably not.

Are standardized tests racist? - No.

Is there such a thing as reverse racial discrimination? - Yes. Edit - No. There is discrimination against the majority, but discrimination is discrimination. Why bother calling it reverse?

Are perjury and obstruction of justice by a president impeachable offenses? - Yes.

Should the word "God" be taken off our money and out of patriotic songs? - No, but I probably would not have pushed to put it there if it wasn't there already.
