IMN CN: Closing of Cayeli Purchase 2002-03-14 18:24 (New York) INMET MINING CORP ("IMN-T;IEMMF-0") - Closing of Cayeli Purchase Inmet Mining announced to-day that it has completed its purchase from Gama Endustri A.S. of an additional 6% interest in Cayeli Bakir Isletmeleri A.S., owner and operator of the Cayeli copper and zinc mine located in northeastern Turkey. The transaction increases Inmet's interest in Cayeli to 55%. Inmet will now fully consolidate Cayeli for accounting purposes. Inmet Inmet is a Canadian based international mining company. Inmet's mining operations produce copper, zinc and gold, and Inmet's growth strategy is focused on finding quality base metal reserves. Inmet's current operating base consists of three competitive mining operations: Cayeli, Troilus and Ok Tedi.
