DELL would have the easiest time IF the merger went through...

It could take up to 18 months for the integration issues to be dealt with...HWP/CPQ would spend a great deal of time and money trying to successfully integrate cultures and product lines. Then they must convince customers that a new united organization makes sense -- IMO, that would be VERY difficult...DELL would have a great window of opportunity to take more market share.

If the merger fails then both CPQ and HWP may need to get new management and re-focus their efforts...this will take time and it still provides DELL with an opportunity.

I don't see how DELL can lose when 2 large competitors are spending lots of their management time, energy, and money on merger campaign activities...We KNOW that MSD and his team are laser-focused on growing their market share profitably and moving into higher margin markets.

Stay tuned...the next few months could be interesting...=)
