Pravin, I understand what you're saying now (Dell may do Hammer server for Europe).

Edit. As far as Compaq's "deal with the devil", it's pretty clear to me that they went after it as much as Intel, to save development money. Made no sense for them as a struggling OEM to spend all than money on Alpha development.
