If the AMA came out in favour would you take the same attitude??..Or would you also give short shift to their opinion?..
I would think that the medical community would be among the best informed about health care issues, but I could be wrong.

As to the affects of daily marijuana smoking, those who drink daily are just as likely to have similar complaints, as well as liver problems after a period of years. That isn't uncommon with any group who abuses a substance. The ones who don't, however, are the ones I am interested in. Any substance, if overused, has the potential to cause problems. The legalization or decriminalization of any substance must be based on the accepted normal usage, not on the evidence solely from abusers of that substance. If that were the case, and alcoholics were the basic for the legalization of alcohol, it would never have happened.

BTW..Are you for the continued legalization of tobacco? Or would you like to see it removed from the market? I am a reformed smoker, and can't for the life of me understand the thinking of a government anywhere supporting the production and sale of it .
