Good FUD. But unfortunately, it is not true. I need only 1 word do disprove this argument: Itanium

Did you forget the question you asked me? You asked:

"Btw, why did people switch from Katmai based Xeon to Coppermine, Cascades, Tualatin, Foster, Prestonia based Xeons?"

In fact, [No]Itanium might be another good reason why they continued switching.

Looks like the clock continues to tick on Itanium, any design wins lately? I haven't been following it. 9 more months to Hammer...at least...still a year late...

AMD continues the chant, "gotta get to Hammer"...
Jerry will sell stock in May?
AMD will be the Mhz-model-hertz loser for 9 more months at least.
I actually saw a 1.6 Ghz P4 notebook for sale so looks like the A4 should be going to model-hertz pretty soon now or AMD will get hurt in that market as well...
