Actually, I believe the right to arm bears is the 2nd Amendment, which, BTW sez "A well regulated militia...". I take it that you are a member of a well regulated (I suppose by either the state or the feds) militia. On the third hand, I live out in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by all of nature,including bears (2 arms, 2 legs..about as well armed as me),mountain lions (possibly here, but for sure within 15 miles), and coyotes, so we have guns, without being in a well regulated militia.
