Its Ethanol.. and on the subject of anit-matter, it does exist, my wife's been working with it for years. When I want to do something that matters she releases anti-matter.. poof the two forces annialate each other, then we eat left overs and watch the evening news.

joseph, Methanol, ethanol, methane hydrates, I never was worth a damn in chemistry. As I recall, the stuff used in the motor fuel, was made from corn, and maybe other agricultural crops, and worked very well in my car. I have heard, but cannot confirm, that when cows eat the agricultural crops, digest them, and pass the gas accumulated in the process, that gas is methane gas, which can be used for fuel. Again, I'm not sure, but I think that ethanol was just a name used for a mixture of gasoline, and methane gas.

Of course, I was kidding about with Star Trek remark, but I guess that stuff is around, if it can ever be made useful to mankind.
