If you believe that the net traffic will grow, then the one that will benefit from that is the leader in load testing. There is no point to having a slow site. The software pays for itself. That is why I own Merq.

If you believe that we aren't safe from internet invaders then an antiviral and net security stock is a beneficiary. That's why I own Symc.

If you believe that data will grow, then storage is a winner. That's why I own vrts.

If you believe that net enabled phones will some day show growth, then the software developer will benefit (similar to how msft benefitted from the pc boom. No matter who won, msft sold to them, with the exception of Apple). That's why I own opwv. That is more speculative than the others, but could be priced well for it's future here. The question being, when is that going to take off? Slower than I thought.

I don't own msft, not because I don't believe the company is well positioned, because I do, but rather because I don't believe that it can grow significantly for where it's priced and I have some exposure in my 401k through mutual funds. Looking back, I should have bought msft back in the mid 80s. At least I owned Dell and profited on the pc boom.
