Chart studies show the ^VIX actually correlates with NASD, past studies shows that the fact that the ^VIX is based on ^OEX makes NO difference. In fact when the SPX goes down the NASD generally goes down harder.Point is, that is how it acts, and that it is not based om COMPX is irrelevant. The action is what matters.Max edited had to delete chart as it was linking with wrong chart but anyone wanting study VIX with actions of NASD and SPX will see the NASD , will see NASD happens to respond with the VIX dramatically.
