There are pockets of visible people that can articulate and pull their strings to get the dough.

Overall the country is worse off, but the electoral korral is kept there for the next elections.

I don't get it. I don't understand what Bush is up to with the steel tariffs and now the Canadian lumber tariffs. It's very disturbing and very disappointing.

Votes for GW, that is the benefit. Steel votes in Pennsylvania, wood votes in Washington and Georgia. Remember our Pres. is a free trader, except when he isn't. And if he can get a few more votes in places that his support is weak, well, then he isn't.
