Darren, Boy, did you miss the boat. I hate Green Peace, PETA, and the Sierra Club. I also dislike having Canadian lumber dumped on the US market which, according to the Associated Press, reports that the Canadian government support of their lumber industry has allowed Canadian producers to sell lumber in the US at below market prices, an illegal process known as dumping. The US doesn't need anything from Canada. It would be nice to have their friendship, but on the many occasions I have been in contact with Canadian snow birds that spend their winters in Florida, or travelers on cruise ships, or on airlines, they have been very insulting of everything connected with the US, and are as bad as the French, in symbolically spitting on the US. Rain forests all over the world are being destroyed for no good reason than greed. In that destruction, not only are trees destroyed, but sites such as the Amazon rain forest have been credited for the discovery of many medical cures, and scientists say there are many more to be found that will be lost if the destruction continues. But you don't give a damn about medical advances if it compromises the greedy lumber industry, do you? Maybe other products for homes are too expensive in Canada, but these materials are being used in many places in the US very economically. I have seen them being built, and have known some of the contractors, and home owners involved. Not only does the housing use no, or less, lumber, but there is much better, built in, insulation, lowering utility costs As usual you pout, spout, and spit before you have thought.
