Msft is trading for a FORWARD p/s of 9 plus the cash they have on hand (no debt) and a FORWARD pe of just under 30. It will grow earnings next year over this year by 8% and revenues by 13%.

it would be a mistake to say MSFT had no debt... they have the kind that is the worst for a shareholder, Debt in the form of dilution to shares, in the order of $50 billion, just to keep any further dilution from happening from past years ESO grants..... let alone the 3% to 4% more every SINGLE YEAR.......

I'm surprised you don't consider some of the large caps. Take WMT - just opened business in China, P/S of 1.2; PE 41. Nice chart:

It is not going up hundreds of precents per year but don't you think it can go back to doing 70%/year?

Also, what do you think of AMAT splitting and giving positive pre announcemnt? Looks to me like they are trying to save their recent gains by promising a split after earnings. Otherwise everyone would bail with a p/s of 7 and pe of 148. Maybe they will announce earnings that make the ratios a little better?

TTB: Nice post. Much of what you say I share with similar conviction. I recently rode SEBL from 26 to low 30's. Never owned Symantes. Don't which is the best of the security software stocks but I might think Checkpoint would be the most reasonably valued. Merq I should look into. MSFT is really all about the court case and the horrible PR that is being heaped upon them by the liberal media. The anomoly in all this is that Gates is a huge social liberal. But MSFT will grow again at old rates only if allowed to and that is the crux of the matter involving this case. Gates crystalized the problem- Allow us to innovate otherwise we will perish. JFD
