I doubt there would be any Arab country that would make a Jew, especially a Zionist Jew welcome. Prior to the establishment and after the establishment of Israel, Arab Jews had their properties , as opposed to just their belongings confiscated and they were shown the door. If you doubt that they had any property (real estate and other valuables) you will have to take it up with those people who have written about it to that effect. If they did not own any property, then they have floated a hoax upon the world community. Many of these Arab Jews were suspected of providing funds and support for the Zionists who were coming from Europe, smuggling arms and people into Palestine, over the objections and embargoes of the British. This contributed much animosity amongst the Arab people. I bet if given the opportunity to swear allegiance to Israel if the refugees where allowed their right of return (as guaranteed by International Law) they would do it. That would not stop them from using their numbers to sway Israeli politics through vastly increased Christian and Moslem Israeli populations. There are numerous possibilities available for solving the problem of Israel, the settlements, Gaza, Golan Heights, and the West Bank. If the Arabs were allowed right of return into Israel, then perhaps the Palestinians would allow the settlers to remain, in limited numbers. Or the settlers would move out, the Palestinian refugees would surrender their right of return and would remain in the West Bank/Gaza. The Arab League was adamant in keeping West Bank/Gaza seperate from Jordan, and King Abdullah was assassinated in 1945 for doing just that. Jordan did the Palestinians no favors aside from taking in some refugees, by annexing them. The beginning of the hostilities are on the heads of the Zionists and the terror they created in Palestine and elsewhere in the Arab world to create a "Jewish" State. It was an act of war in my opinion, a condition we still exist under. Whether Israel is a democracy or closer to a democracy, a rare event in the Mideast, is not justification to allow it to disrespect the native populations, fleese the American taxpayer to defend it, or colonize the land in the name of religion, Bible stories, or ancient histories. If the Arab countries need to improve themselves and become more democratic, or democratic at all, is their burden, we do not need to use Israel as an example for how they should be and legitimizing having that colony there to see to it.
