Ok here it is as simple as I can get it on a Yahoo Chart with Bollinger Bands, candlesticks and a more direct comparison between the two indexes.

Is this chart wrong too or does the declining VIX often seem to correlate to a rising Nasdaq. Anyone else?

Perhaps the exercise is meaningless altogether.

Perhaps you should show a chart that gives the comparison you see and bluntly state your expectations.
