>>They need the advertising but they also need the fee based services too.<<
I agree. And like most other .coms they're trying to get fee based income they were giving away for free.
What I haven't figured out yet is what YHOO can offer me that I can't get from any of its competitors
Re: Amzn. You've seen me make many posts saying Amzn should try the same. If Costco's loyal shoppers will pay an annual fee to shop there...why wouldn't Amazon's??

Wedding bells at Amazon.com

Amazon.com, which started as an online purveyor of books, now offers a Wedding Registry at amazon.com. Friends and family can choose from a wide selection of kitchenware, electronics, tools – even books. Couples can create and share their registry with friends and family, and can also track in real time which items have been purchased and which remain on their list. Similarly, out-of-town and overseas friends and family can go online to select, wrap and ship wedding gifts directly to the couple.

Hi Glenn,

OT

As an ebay consumer, I am wondering why PayPal is attractive. Does using PayPal make the transaction less secure for consumers? Is there any protection for fraud or misrepresentation of the goods?

I avoid using money orders or cashiers checks as I feel there is no recourse if something goes wrong.

I would appreciate your expert comment on this.
