epsteinbd, Actually, you cannot really blame religion itself as the culprit in the burning of witches. Those tragic events were done by a small group of fanatics that chose to rationalize their crime in the name of religion. By burning, or murdering, any one in the name of religion, they violated one of the major tenets of that religion, being Christianity in their case.
